Dr. Mark Engel’s journey to becoming a respected healthcare provider began right here in Perrysburg. After graduating from Perrysburg High School in 1985, he started his pre-medical studies at the University of Toledo. A pivotal moment in his life—finding profound relief from nagging back pain through a local chiropractor—inspired him to dedicate his career to this powerful, hands-on healing art.

He went on to attend Life Chiropractic College, where his academic excellence earned him the honor of graduating Magna Cum Laude and as Salutatorian of his class. This foundational commitment to mastery was followed by extensive clinical training, including a rigorous two-year clinical internship, a six-month specialized internship in Ft. Lauderdale, and a two-year associateship at a high-volume facility in central Georgia.

Since establishing Engel Chiropractic, Inc. in 1995, Dr. Engel has continuously refined his skills. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is fully licensed by the Ohio State Chiropractic Board of Examiners. Reflecting his advanced capabilities in treating active individuals, he also holds a certificate from the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians. Furthermore, Dr. Engel is certified by the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation to manage and treat on-the-job injuries.
